Chickpea Mag Giveaway!

Chickpea Mag Giveaway!

Update: the lucky winners are….

Kelly Garbato (Summer ’12 issue)

hungryvegan (Fall ’12 issue)

Congrats!

Hello MoFoers! Have you heard of Chickpea Magazine? If not, you are in for a treat. Chickpea is an all-vegan magazine featuring delicious recipes, gorgeous photography, and fascinating articles from volunteer contributors. Look, I’ve worked for a (different) vegan mag, and I can say that without a shadow of a doubt, Chickpea is awesome. There might even be a Chickpea-sized morsel of sadness missing in your media life if you haven’t yet uncovered this hip publication full of vegan wonders.

But we have you covered. Chickpea has generously offered two issues of the magazine (one of the summer ’12, and one fall ’12) to two separate lucky US residents. Sorry internationals! We have done our best at MoFoHQ to open many giveaways to non-US residents this year (believe me, because I do not reside in the US and there are MANY giveaways I would have loved to entered had I not been obviously affiliated with the organizers). Anyway, we don’t need you to post this to Twitter/Facebook/Pinterest/email it to your grandma or anything like that to enter. Simply comment on this post and I’ll pick the winners randomly by November 2. Which is soon, so comment away!

Good luck, and happy halloween!

  1. Wow, this magazine looks beautiful, with such gorgeous photos. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out. Hope I win 🙂

  2. I would give this to my little sister. She’s been the queen of all that is Chickpea since she was little. Can’t see the little legumes without thinking of her!!

  3. very pretty, well-put-together magazine. online version used to be free, but i don’t think that lasted very long.

  4. I think I’ve heard of “Chickpea” before, but I’ve never actually seen a copy. If the contents make me feel the same way that cover with the squash does…then I think it’ll be a good one! 🙂

  5. Thank you for posting this. Had not heard of it, yet looking forward to reading/devouring it on a regular basis. Yes, more vegan magazines are needed and a very good thing. I envision a rack full, all a little different so everyone can have their choices, or be a vegan-mag-ho like me and read them all.
    GO CHICKPEA!

  6. Sounds awesome! How have I not heard of it yet? VegNews kind of lost me when I found out they were using meat pictures to represent vegan food. I still read it from time to time, though.

  7. I’ve been tempted to get a subscription of this magazine, but have been hesitant for some reason. I would love to see a copy in person to make a decision! The more vegan magazines to choose from, the better!

  8. Ooooh, I have indeed heard of this magazine and got to briefly admire a copy in person at NOOCH Vegan Market while on vacation in Denver. It looks like a gorgeous magazine, and I wish I could really devour it from cover to cover. Figuratively, of course. Thanks for the opportunity!

  9. I’ve seen this online but never had a chance to really peruse- looks fabulous and reminds me of the 70’s and the early days of “alternative” (hahahha) magazines- which i LOVED
