Megan, “Artichoke, onions, mushrooms, and kalamata olives. So good!”

I use a random number generator to choose winners for fairness, but I think olives are gross, so after drawing four olivey pizzas I decided to hand-pick the last answer. Onions and garlic, heck yeah!

Shannon, “My dream pizza is one I just started making recently. I make 2 french bread rolls. After they are done and cooled off, I cut them in half and into fours. I use them as my crust. I top them with sauteed mushrooms, garlic, onions, and kale. I put a thin layer of Daiya on top, after I sauced them. Then I add my veggies, followed by another layer of Daiya. After I pop them out of the oven I sprinkle some vegan paremsan cheese on top along with a little basil and oregano. Sometimes if I add a little Sriracha to give a kick!”

You’ll be emailed in the morn!

There are a few touchy subjects among vegans that everyone has strong, differing opinions on. One of the big ones is which brand of vegan cheese you prefer, if any. Every brand has its fans, and the same brands have people who think it’s completely gross. But who cares, we now have more vegan cheese options than you can shake a stick at!

Daiya had the vegan world a-buzzing before it was even released. Shredded cheese? That melts? That isn’t soy? And if you’re a fan or not, you can’t deny that Daiya has really pushed vegan cheese out into the mainsteam. I have seen it Kroger grocery stores, a place where I have never seen anything but those non-vegan veggie shreds. It’s in Amy’s products, Gardein, Tofurkey is making frozen pizzas with it…and restaurants are using it! Getting a vegan pizza where you don’t overpay for them to take off the cheese is an exciting thing, especially if you don’t live in a big city where vegan foods are easier to find.

My personal favorite way to use Daiya is pepperjack flavor + tortilla = instant quesadilla!

Today, we are giving away three free product coupons to five lucky winners, meaning you can get a bag of each flavor if you want! Since I now have pizza on the brain, just comment here with your dream vegan pizza combination to enter! This giveaway is open to US and Canada only. The winners will be chosen tonight at 11 pm CST.

  1. I love Daiya on pizzas! I would love to have a pizza with capers, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, caramelized onions and shitake mushrooms. Yum.

  2. Okay vegan pizza (oh man now I want pizza so bad!): vegan crust with daiya cheese bakes into the crust, marinara sauce, more daiya cheese (mozzarella), artichoke hearts, mushrooms, fresh tomato slices, sliced pepperchinis! Yummy!

  3. My favorite combination on pizza is: smoky bbq sauce, cheddar Daiya, Pete’s Soyganic smoked tofu, artichoke hearts, fresh figs (cut into quarters), and if I’m feeling crazy, some chopped up pears or apples.

  4. Umm…. I love all pizza. That said, I’m thinking a cornmeal-whole wheat crunchy thin crust with a good slathering of sweet sundried tomato pesto and topped with thick slices of sauteed peaches. Then when it comes out of the oven… sprinkle a good layer of arugula over top (for a peppery bite), a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, a sprinkle of salt, and a drizzle of olive oil. Sweet and spicy. But that salty sharpness of bleu cheese is what makes it work… get on that, Daiya.

  5. Thin rosemary garlic flat bread + arugula pesto +carmelized onion+ Daiya mozzarella+ quinoa tabouleh + avocado with fresh lime juice+ raw tomato sprinkled with sea salt= BLISS

  6. Daiya pepperjack, mozzarella and cheddar blend for a 3-cheese deep dish pizza, with a sun dried tomato basil pesto atop spinach and mushrooms over a roasted red pepper sauce.

  7. The Bad Little Spice Delight: poofy white crust lathered with date puree, sprinkled with fresh pineapple, Roasted Red Pepper and artichoke pieces with chunks Buffalo-Winged BBQ Flavoured Shicken (Faux-Chicken). Yums!

  8. I love me some thin crust brushed with garlicky olive oil, topped with sundried tomatoes, artichokes, and vegan mozzarella. Mmmm…

  9. I used to love Hawaiian pizza when I was a kid so my dream pizza definitely includes pineapple and green peppers. I think I’d throw on some sliced shiittake mushrooms, too.

  10. Sundried tomatoes, gardein chickn scallopini, olives, red onions and fresh basil with a roasted garlic sauce. Now I’m hungry….

  11. Seitan, mushrooms, onions, peppers and oil and garlic butter with mozzarella, no red sauce. Cheesesteak pizza essentially.

  12. roasted garlic whole wheat crust, pesto sauce, broccoli, spinach, zucchini, red onions, and mozzarella daiya. yummy, I want pizza now!

  13. Spinach, artichoke, olives, onion and mushroom. It’s so delicious as is (tortilla + pizza sauce + toppings = cheater vegan pizza), I’d love to try it with the daiya mozzarella.

  14. YUM! Marinara, mozzerrella AND cheddar Daiya, black olives, pineapple, and veggie sausage. Top it off with red pepper and tons of garlic! Now I’m hungry.

Man, I’m drooling after typing that!

  19. My dream vegan pizza combination would be extra soy cheese, crunchy falafel, chopped bell peppers, onions and mushrooms.

  20. Pizza has to be one of my favorite foods. I love just a basic with daiya mozzarella, fresh basil, garlic, and tomatoes.

  21. Oh, Daiya! My family and I love it so-

Being gluten free/casein free makes pizza a little trickier than normal. My six year old adores pizza though, so I have endeavored to create one he’ll love as much as the wheat and dairy filled kind. Daiya goes a very long way in helping us accomplish that!

I have a pretty good recipe I use for gluten free crust, and I top it with red sauce, thinly sliced and seasoned beets (they are a lot like pepperoni), onions, and mushrooms. It’s so great!

  22. Hm. Dream pizza combination….well first of all Daiya mozzerella, pesto, garlic, onions, fresh basil, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, tofu, spinach….yep. That sounds great to me! Love your blog!!!!!

  23. Oooh, my dream pizza? It would probably be half Greek and half Thai. Weird combination, sure, but oh so delicious! Half would have olives and barely any tomato sauce and garlic and artichokes and spinach, and the other half would have a peanut sauce and herbs and peppers and lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Wait, nope, not that last bit…

  24. my pizza wants are simple and have (mostly) stayed the same since childhood. mostly crispy thin crust (but bendy enough to need to support the inner corner or easily folded,) yummy, ooey and gooey (daiya) mozzarella, and lots of black olives and pineapple for toppiongs.

  25. My favorite vegan pizza is chicken style seitan with Daiya cheddar shreds and bbq sauce on top in criss cross design…:)

  26. This list of people’s greatest pizzas is a fantastic resource!!! Thanks to all….I will definitely try lots of these ideas. Dan

  27. A mediterranean style pizza with banana peppers, olive oil and spices, artichokes, tomatoes, and black olives. MMMM.

  28. Wheat crust, tomato sauce, pineapples, red onions, daiya mozzerella! maybe some vegan meat to make it an authentic vegan hawaiian pizza. mmmmmmmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmmmmmm!!

  29. I would love a salad pizza! Deep dish crust, red sauce, daiya mozzarella and cheddar, along with wilted spinach, tomatoes, red, green and yellow peppers, and onions topped with nutritional yeast! Yuuuuuuhh-uuuumm!

  30. I love Mexican pizzas! Whole wheat crust with refried beans, topped with Daiya cheddar or pepperjack cheese. After you bake, add chopped lettuce, tomato, avocado, and salsa — yum!!

  32. Artichokes, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, black olives, onions, and lots of Daiya mozzarella! Some vegan pesto would be awesome on there too! YUM!

  33. My dream pizza is a Mexican inspired pizza: Pepperjack Daiya, tomato sauce, fresh tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, green bell peppers, maybe some chipotle seitan sausage, and of course — jalapeno peppers galore.

Oh man, I need to make this.

  34. red sauce with green bell peppers, mushrooms, seitan/tvp sausage, onions, zucchini, topped off with mozzarella daiya.

  35. Artichoke hearts, garlic, pesto, green olives, kalamata olives, mozzarella Daiya, sundried tomatoes, Upton’s Italian seitan, roasted red peppers, green peppers, and basil.

  36. My signature pizza would be nothing without Daiya! Fresh crust from scratch (of course), braised seitan smothered in franks red hot and earth balance, topped with as much Daiya as you can fit on the pizza. Nom!

  37. Dream pizza? Medium crust (not too thin, not too thick), my own sauce, diced onion, diced red and green pepper, diced mushroom (a light but generous sprinkling of each- does that make sense?), and then just a light tossing of Daiya mozzarella shreds- because too much cheese is just that, too much. And if we must, just a few circles of homemade vegan pepperoni. I’m done.

  38. I LOVE DAIYA! My dream pizza would be a deep dish pizza with roasted garlic, spinach, pine nuts, alfredo sauce and Daiya cheese! Or a curry pizza with potatoes and garlic and curry and red onion! SO GOOD!

  39. My favorite pizza that I’ve made with Daiya was a BBQ Chik’n pizza with cheddar cheese. Cheddar Daiya and barbeque sauce were meant to go together.

  40. Daiya is amazing! I had almost given up on vegan cheese until I tried Daiya! My classic pizza is tomato sauce, bell pepper, red onion, kalamata olives and artichoke hearts!! Yum!

    my dream pizza:
homemade dough, olive oil drizzled on top, mozzarella-style-shreds sprinkled on top, fresh tomatoes sliced, kalamata olives, basil from the garden, and a bit of rosemary sprinkled over it.

    Simple yet delicious!

  43. A thin, Daiya mozarella-infused, cauliflower-based crust (with lots of fresh basil) to start; a spicy-sweet, roasted tomato and pumpkin seed pesto for the sauce; huge chunks of poblano peppers, fat tomato slices, and sweet bell peppers on top – all smothered in a blend of both mozarella and cheddar Daiya cheeses, with arugula and more fresh basil on top.

Dust that puppy with some roasted red pepper flakes and serve it with a tasty side of lemon-jicama slaw. Mmmmm.

  44. I would make a pizza with bechamel sauce, Field Roast Apple sage sausage, caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms and mozz Daiya.
    Yum.

    🙂

  45. Newman’s Own Sockarooni sauce, bbq sauce, olives, mushrooms, spinach, red onion, and crumbled field roast italian sausage.

  46. Barbecue “chicken” pizza with Daiya Cheddar, onions, grilled “chicken” pieces and barbecue sauce on a homemade wheat crust. Yum. (We cut up Gardein chicken for this one!)

  47. Dream pizza? Okay, how about an olive oil sauce with vegan sausage, tomatoes, hot peppers and basil, topped with some mozza daiya? That sounds amazing to me right now.

  48. Homemade dough, pesto sauce base, kale, onion, mushroom, tomatoes, olives, peppers (yellow, red, green)! And Daiya (mozarella), of course!
