Eat Pastry Giveaway

Eat Pastry Giveaway

Our winner is moonsword, who appreciates a good Buffy quote:

Giles: Well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance, and we ate cookie dough and talked about boys.
Buffy: [laughs] Oh, I’m sorry. I’m very, very sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window. So if you wanna trade… No wait, I wouldn’t give that memory up for anything.
Neither would I…I’d share with my sis and we’d talk about our current crushes. 🙂

When I was a wee vegan, the first thing I truly wanted to master was the art of making good cookies.  Don’t get me wrong.  Whole wheat, health food store, carob chip things are all good and well, but how I longed for a really good cookie.

Well, the world of vegan cookies has changed a lot since I first went vegan in 2001.  Now there are really good packaged cookies, an internet full of recipes, and Eat Pastry Cookie Dough.  Get right the heck outta town!  Vegan cookie dough!  Yessir/ma’am!

When I found out this was vegan, I was shocked!  I had walked by the cookie dough everyday at my job and had no idea.  Let me tell you…this stuff is great!  I would eat this from a spoon.  I would eat this on the moon.  This is so good straight out of the oven.  The perfect combination of crispy and chewy.

Now for the fun.  1 lucky winner will receive a t-shirt, Five $1 coupons, and cash monies for 2 tubs of Eat Pastry Cookie Dough.  All you have to do is comment below with how you plan to use the dough.  Any and all Buffy references will be appreciated!  Contest open to US residents only! A winner will be picked randomly tomorrow, October 30th, at 11 am CST.

  1. Oh. My. God.
I am ADDICTED to cookie dough! My mouth is watering over this photo. I would eat it by the overflowing spoonful. Having this in my fridge would actually make my period something to look forward to.
Please put this in my belly! NOW!

  2. I would probably alternate bites of raw cookie dough with squeezes of chocolate syrup, directly into my mouth.

  3. This is the best ready made vegan cookie dough EVER…I’ll eat half straight out of the container and bake the rest and turn them into ice cream sandwiches!

  4. If I won, the dough definitely wouldn’t make it to the oven. Maybe I’d share with my husband. Maybe 😀

  5. My very pregnant friend has been RAVING about Eat Pastry cookie dough for months and I’ve been meaning to try it. If I win, I’ll a)try it plain, b)make some cookies, c)use it in ice cream, and d)share all with said preggers friend!

  6. I could say I would bake the dough into cookies to share with all of my friends and family, but who am I kidding? I would eat the dough raw as soon as I got it in my hot little hands, and then would end up baking maybe one sheet which I would then gobble up in record time. Yeah, it’s been a long time since I’ve had cookies.

  7. IT WILL GO A LIL SOMETHING LIKE THIS!

Boss: [ munches away ] These are good!

Kristy: Uh.. Cindy, can you leave some for us?

Lucy: I thought you were, um, trying to lose weight?

Boss: [ grabs Lucy’s collar ] LAY OFF ME I’M STARVING! [ pause ] Diet starts Monday!

  8. I PLAN to make some delicious cookie…what will actually happen (as learned from experience) is I will eat most of the dough, leaving enough left over to make 2 or 3 cookies…

  9. I’d love to make these over the Holidays for my family. A lot of us are gluten free and vegan (or allergic to dairy) and these would be a great dessert that everyone could eat! The vegan gluten free snickerdoodle would be perfect to dip!

  10. What will I do with it? After I photograph it, I will caress its packaging and tell it how beautiful is. After an appropriate length I time I’m afraid I’ll have to put on my “eating pants” (read: old maternity jeans) and scarf it all down. CAN’T WAIT!!

  11. The cookie dough will go straight to my belly! The money dough will go towards a big bunch of greens to balance out the cookie dough.

  12. Since Hurricane Mom (my Mom’s name is Sandy) is due to hit where I live in the very near future, if I ams the lucky winner I would plan on eating this deliciousness asap with a spoon since I’m pretty certain we won’t have any power for several days once she arrives.

  13. Bake cookies on the spur of the moment, whether we want 2 or 10, and eat a few spoonfuls of dough while we’re putting them on the sheet. 😉 I so miss ready-made cookie dough.

  14. I want to make cookies first but end up eating it right out of the tub……I LOVE COOKIE DOUGH! Even more now that it is vegan…………The problem I have, well I don’t know if it’s a problem per say but will eat it all through out the day until it’s gone. I’m a cookie doughaholic………

  15. I would eat some of the cookie dough from the package, but bake most of it. Maybe I would even make an ice cream cookie sandwich. Yum, yum, yum!

  16. I would use this dough in to reward the Athens Chip team for all their hard work of bringing plant based education and lifestyle changes to people in our community!

  17. I can’t deny it, I’d cave and eat most of this by the spoonful. While cuddling on the couch with friends I hope!

  18. i will make some cookies with it, but probably mostly eat it by the spoonful.
i might even try to make some vegan cookie dough ice cream, mmmm that sounds awesome.

  19. So far my experience with Eat Pastry has been limited to binging on it when I end up a party at this one persons house who always seems to have it. I’ve demolished his supply numerous times and I would love to win this giveaway so that I can return the favor (but I’ll probably still end up eating most of it because it’s SOO GOOOOD)

  20. I won’t lie, the only way I’d “use” is would be to shove it in my face. With a spoon if I’m feeling motivated, with my fingers otherwise.

  21. I think this sounds like a good item to have when my sister and I get to visit in a month and a half…cookie dough from the container, Netflix (now that you mention Buffy…), and puppy snuggles. Yes.

  22. I’d probably eat it straight out of the container with a spoon…. I don’t really have a Buffy reference, but Halloween always reminds me of my favorite (and scariest!) episode: the one where everyone’s voice gets stolen by those creepy bald guys in suits that float along… eek!

  23. I would make cookies with my mother and brother and we would have lots of fun making different cookies and we would enjoy eating and sharing them and our time spent together.

  24. I willl enjoy baking the cookies sharing and eating them while droping weight, and enjoying these cookies and other protducts…. ty

  25. 2 cookies are fine for me,
the rest shall go to the little weenie doggies of the animal volunteer place for my school
    O_O

  26. I will be oldskool about it and bake it into cookies. All my senses will be engaged as I: open the lid of the carton and revel in the vanilla-y scent of the dough, enjoy scooping the moldable dough onto the cookie sheets, revel in the scent of baking cookies as it wafts throughout the house, listen for the oven bell that indicates the cookies are done (thereby causing me to start salivating), see the cookies emerge from the over in all their gooey-crispy gloriousness, and finally….Eat Pastry and taste the chocolatey magnificence!

  27. I wish i could say the cookie dough would make it to the oven but it hasnt thus far and probably never will. The average container lasts about 1.5 days! And, since its vegan i allow myself to eat it for breakfast 🙂

  28. I will eat it late at night while doing stressful statistics homework. I would bake half and eat the other with a spoon 🙂

  29. i will eat it straight out of the tub. like it’s my job. if i’m feeling EXTREMELY NICE, i may actually bake some cookies and share. maybe. >:)

  30. ugh, this stuff rarely makes it past 2 days at my house. i eat it straight out of the tub with a spoon!!! especially the PB chocolate chip.

  31. I would bake a disastrously deelishous giant cookie the size of a cookie pan, burnt edges and gooey middles and all.

  32. I would bake it and enjoy it with some ice cream. Yes, even in winter!

    Your Buffy cookie quote:
“I’m cookie dough. I’m not done baking. I’m not finished becoming who ever the hell it is I’m gonna turn out to be. I make it through this, and the next thing, and the next thing, and maybe one day, I turn around and realize I’m ready. I’m cookies. And then, you know, if I want someone to eat m- or enjoy warm, delicious, cookie me, then that’s fine. That’ll be then. When I’m done.”

  33. Take them to work!! One of my bosses teases me a lot about being vegan, so I would put the delicious cookie in his mouth so he cannot talk. 🙂

  34. If I win I would eat some of straight out of the container as soon as I get it it! Then I will bake some of it when I am able to use an oven, (I’m a college student living in a dorm : P), and eat both baked and raw cookies for midnight snacks while studying. I will proudly wear the t-shirt absolutely everywhere! And finally I will buy more Eat Pastry cookie dough to share with my vegan friends!

  35. I would make cookies… maybe. If the dough lasted that long. It would probably just get frozen in bite-size pieces so that I can pop and go whenever I crave some!

  36. I’ve never had this before, but it looks delicious! I make regular Toll House cookies every week for my non-vegan boyfriend, but I would love to show him how delicious vegan cookies can be (my last homemade batch didn’t turn out so well, unfortunately). Also, I would probably scarf down about half a tub of the dough! No shame in that 😉

  37. I have never heard of this cookie dough…wow. I would eat it by the spoon and bake it into cookies and bars and mix it into ice cream…so many ways to use it!

  39. I went vegan 6 months ago and I haven’t really missed cookies. Until I saw this photo. Now must have! And I think I’d just go the ol’ fashioned route and bake them up. And then enjoy them slowly, most likely with coffee. Mmmmm….

  40. Oh! I’ve been dying to try this! I plan on making vegan cookies out of it, if I don’t eat all of it by the spoonful! 🙂

  41. I would eat the dough straight from a spoon and making mini dough balls for ice cream! Nom nom! Eat pastry is the best!

    1. Another tip is use the small bladed rotary cutter only for cutting circles. Gosh I hope you appreciate this book as much as I do. I use it mostly when designing a quilt, knowing what size to cut hst, qst, setting blocks on point and needing to know what size the corner and side blocks should be… lots of good knowledge on how to calculate these things, at your fingertips.

  42. I’d probably eat it spoon by spoon (my favorite thing about vegan cookies is the reckless abandon at which I can eat the dough!). Maybe a few would get into the oven .. but not many!

  43. O GAWWWD, I would eat it with my whole face! Maybe it would make it into cookies….probably not. Mostly it will end up in my mouth as is, possibly with choco syrup or nut butter….OM NOM NOM!!!

  44. I see homemade cookie dough ice cream in my future . . . yes, I see it clearly. Can’t wait to taste this.

  45. I will eat most of it with a spoon standing in front of the fridge or maybe sitting in front of my laptop. I might wrap some around a newman-O and bake it.

  46. So you can actually bake this dough into cookies? I guess that sounds pretty good, but I think I’ll keep eating it straight from the container, one spoonful at a time whenever I need a little something sweet.

  47. I’ll make my girlfriend bake the dough in one giant pile and shove my face in it so I have to eat my way out to get air.

  48. I would use the dough to bake cookies for my the three sets of staff that I have, and continue to prove to them that vegan baked goods are just as good (or better) than non-vegan!

  49. I will use this to make super awesome cookies – I will consider sharing them, but that probably won’t happen

  50. Wow! This might be certainly one of the most advantageous blogs we’ve ever encounter on thesubject. Basically superb post! I am also an expert in this topic so I can comprehend your difficult work.
