Giveaway – Vegetarian Shoes

We have our two lucky winners, they’re Noreen who said “Probably soy milk or tofu i’m not sure which I tried first” and Carmen who said “I remember buying Vegan Vittles about a year or so after becoming vegan. I learned so much from that book! It introduced me to nutritional yeast which i thought was seriously weird at the time.”

Congrat’s Noreen & Carmen, don’t forget to check your e-mails!

I don’t know about you but Vegetarian Shoes have been one of my favourite companies ever since I first went veggie. They happen to be located just around the corner from me in Brighton and their Airseal 14-eye boots were the first intentionally vegan shoes I ever bought.

Today the lovely people from Vegetarian Shoes are offering two people living anywhere in Europe the chance to win one of their super popular Vegan Belts. With this awesome belt you can show off your vegan pride whilst also holding up your favourite trousers. This studded belt is pliable, leather like, and made from super durable Vegetan Micro-fibre. You can even pick whatever size you like. Just check out the measurements here and leave your choice of S, M, L or XL in your comment.

To enter just leave a comment below before 2 pm GMT tomorrow telling us what the first intentionally vegan product you ever bought was. Please be sure to leave a valid e-mail address so that we can contact you if you win & don’t forget to tell us your size. The winner will be randomly selected and announced after the giveaway has ended. This competition is open to anyone living in Europe.

  1. Aside from food (obviously!) I honestly don’t remember my first vegan product purchase…wait…shampoo, I think! Yup, it was. Everpure by L’Oreal is vegan, and my vegetarian hairdresser at the time told me about it 🙂

    XOXO

  2. Oooh Oooh Ooooooooh!!!!
FAB give away, I’ve been after a vegan belt for yonks.
The first intentional vegan product I purchase was soya milk.
Boring I know but there ya go 🙂

  3. Almond milk was the first intentionally vegan product I started using. Once I learned that it was good, I then bought a nut milk bag and started making my own!

  4. Oh gosh – the first intentionally vegan product I ever bought? Hmm. I think it was nutritional yeast flakes! Oh no actually – it was Veganomicon! Because I only bought the yeast flakes because I’d bought the book, and wanted to start trying out recipes. Ha.

    My size is M

  5. Besides food and cookbooks, it was my Iron Fist Indecent Obsession platforms. I got them a few months before I actually went vegan. I was obsessed with the shoes for months before I finally bought them to wear to a friends wedding. They will always be my favourite shoe I think!

  6. Oooh I really need a belt – I lost three and a half stone this year and my trousers keep falling down! I’m size M.
The first intentionally vegan thing I bought was Rose Elliot’s Vegan Feasts and the next day I had to go out and buy soya cream so I could make the kulfi recipe.

  7. The first vegan product I intentionally bought was probably shoes. I am addict! Although I say there is nothing wrong with a perfectly good retail therapy session. Size Medium please.

  8. Mine was a pair of Wombats from Vegetarian Shoes, 5 years before I actually went vegan. And pookily enough, I am wearing Wombats today (my second pair, I wore the others into the ground).

  9. Other than food I think my first vegan product was a pair of Vegetarian Shoes Doc Martens. I think they are about 18 holes, they nearly reach my knees! I travelled down to Brighton from London to buy them but they didn’t have my size (size 11). I was so disappointed I bought a size 12. I still have them (nearly 20 years later!) as they’ve worn well due to lack of use but I still wear them sometimes with thick socks 😀

  10. I remember buying Vegan Vittles about a year or so after becoming vegan. I learned so much from that book! It introduced me to nutritional yeast which i thought was seriously weird at the time.
