Mine was a pair of Wombats from Vegetarian Shoes, 5 years before I actually went vegan. And pookily enough, I am wearing Wombats today (my second pair, I wore the others into the ground).

I travelled down to Brighton from London to buy them but they didn’t have my size (size 11). I was so disappointed I bought a size 12. I still have them (nearly 20 years later!) as they’ve worn well due to lack of use but I still wear them sometimes with thick socks :D
