  1. Great round up Katie. You are one busy girl! Lots more recipes for me to book mark.
Sorry that you had to look up “slice” – such a common term in Australia and NZ.
Funny how things get lost in translation between US, UK, Australia, NZ. ๐Ÿ™‚
I think what we call a slice you might call a bar.
A slice as any baked good (or even no-bake slice in this case) that you make in a shallow baking tray and then cut into segments. It usually has a base (often crushed cookies or pastry), a filling and a topping (often icing or chocolate). But sometimes there will just be one or two layers.

  2. Here is a link to a popular Aussie recipe site with billions of hits for “slice recipe”.
Ok maybe I exagerate but you get the picture ๐Ÿ™‚

Warning – this is not a vegan recipe site but I am have plans to veganise lots of them. Carmel slice (one of the most popular which can be found in EVERY bakery in Aust and NZ) is going to be the trickiest to veganise but I am determined to do it! If any Vegan MoFoers have veganised Carmel slice I would love the recipe. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. So many new and exciting ideas here! Sometimes it’s hard to push the envelope with such a beloved ingredient, but these Iron Chef challenges never let me down.
