Hey everyone! This is Zsu Dever (the author of the book above, Vegan Bowls, and your Round Up host this year). I was so excited to be able to do all the weekly mofo Round Ups this year because it gave me the best excuse to be on the computer and have a legit answer to give my husband when asked what I was doing on the computer so much! Work, dear. (probably unfair to call this work, ey?)

As some of you may have heard, my new cookbook was just released a few weeks ago (two, to be precise, but who’s counting) and so, basically, this has been a pretty awesome month for me: mofo and new cookbook.

And that’s when the light bulb went off and I decided to combine the two: giveaway on mofo!

For those who are not familiar with the cookbook I mention, it is full of over 90 bowl dishes – all complete meals (with vegetable, starch and protein) and most can be made in under 45 minutes (but more take around 30).

I incorporated a new way of cooking into this book and you prep as you go (multi-task) and therefore make the whole cooking process faster.

If you’d like a complete table of contents, look HERE.

And to give you an idea of what is in the book, a few pics:

I’m pretty proud of it and, like I said, very excited.

So much so that I am giving away a copy of Vegan Bowls INTERNATIONALLY.

Leave a comment below about bowl food or what you thought of the new mofo prompts this year, and I’ll let Random.org pick a comment. Easy as a vegan bowl of yumminess.

  1. I absolutely adore the prompts this year; as I love a good challenge and you’ve done a super great job with the weekly roundups.

Vegan Bowls looks lovely; especially that Hungarian Breakfast Bowl. I’m super into savory breakfasts. ::FINGERS CROSSED I GET TO TEST THE RECIPE::

  2. I’ve loved reading all your posts about your book! I’ve never really made any “bowls” except soup haha but I’d love to learn more 🙂

  3. I actually downloaded the preview of your book on Kindle the day is was released. Super exicted and looking forwarded to making several of the recipes over & over again. SImple & smart…gotta love it!!!

  4. I liked the prompts this year, though I might like to do a theme next year. I think I got burned at towards the end/didn’t enjoy the later prompts. But overall it was fun and I enjoyed it. And even if I didn’t like the prompt it was a nice challenge to try and come up with something fun.

    1. Congratulations! You are the winner (as determined by Random.org). I’ll try to contact you, otherwise you can contact me at: zsu [at] zsusveganpantry.com

  5. I love eating everything in bowls! It’s easier to mix everything together to create amazing flavor and texture. I loved the prompts this year. It was a nudge in a general direction but it gave us all the chance to let our creativity shine through! It was so cool that everyone was on the same page but doing different things. What a cool thing. I hope it’s the same way next year!

  6. Some of my favorite vegan bowls come from a restaurant the southern California’s South Bay, called The Green Temple: brown rice, fresh corn and greens, black beans and creamy tofu sauce! The book sounds fantastic. Kudos to you. Loved the prompts this year kept me blogging and creative. I have 20 questions for vegan mofoers on my blog, please check it out!

  7. Reminds me of the Empty Bowls fundraiser many ceramics studios have to help feed the homeless. It would be fun to have ceramic artists make bowls inspired by your meals!

  8. I didn’t know what to think about the prompts at first. I thought it wouldn’t be as exciting, but it turned out to be awesome. You get to cook new dishes (or not), you can use the prompts according to the time you have (use old pictures or prepare some challenging recipes), and most especially, you get to see how everyone else used the day’s prompt.

I hope there will be more prompts next year!

  9. I love the idea of bowl foods, my Husband travels a lot for work and I cook for just myself so it would be great to have some new easy ideas for dinner.

  10. I was a bit unsure about the prompts at first but I’m actually pretty pleased with how they turned out – I got to cook lots of things I wouldn’t otherwise. If the prompts could be published a bit earlier, that would be handy – more time to get things ready in advance for those days when you can get in the kitchen as much as you’d want to. I’m really liking the look of the chilli and the breakfast bowl!

  11. The book looks awesome! I love bowl food because it tends to be pretty quick and easy to put together but still really tasty.

  12. As a reader, not a blogger, I’m pretty sure the prompts were easier to read than to write so I’m just throwing my reader opinion in here. I’ve been reading mofo posts for years and always look forward to mofo month. This year while I did find some new bloggers to follow, I also missed some of my old favorites who struggled with the prompts and didn’t participate. So, I give everyone a lot of credit for some pretty creative posts but I just didn’t enjoy reading as much as in previous years. The book looks great btw, I’ve been looking forward to the release.

  13. These look fantastic! I love to order bowls like this when I go out, but never make them at home. I would love recipes to help me do that!

  14. I love bowl food! And I already put your book on my wish list a few weeks ago 🙂
Bowls are so comforting, they contain all the right ingredients and most of the time they come together in less than an hour. (Plus, the leftovers make the best lunches!)

  15. I loved the new prompts! September is always a crazy month in our house, so the help with not having to think about what do do daily helped.

  16. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win this book – I know, I know…I sound like a broken record..lol..thanks for the opportunity! I thought the prompts were great! I thought I wouldn’t be able to do some of them but ended up doing ALL of them! It was such a wonderful YEAR for MoFo and I’m so sad it’s over. Having said that I’m putting together a running list of those who want to keep in touch! Also a link-up so if you want to swing by MyBlissfulJourney.com and join in I would love that!

  17. I was shocked when the prompts were first announced and didn’t think they were a good idea but to my surprise I’ve really enjoyed following them and have completely changed my initial opinion!

  18. YUM. I enjoyed the prompts, but this was my first year attempting to participate, so I don’t have much to compare it to! Next time, I want to plan ahead a bit better though.

  19. Zsu, you are so creative to think of all these foods you can eat from a bowl! Like that Hungarian breakfast bowl – OMG I need that for breakfast! I’ve really loved the prompts this year (but I’m a total MoFo n00b, I don’t know any better), but they were really inspiring and made this month really easy. Some of the prompts I didn’t do but I think I did like 20 or so 😀 yay, go me!

  20. I LOVE bowl food. My favourite dinner is a zuchinni noodle bowl with stir fried veggies, tofu, and green goddess dressing.

  21. Oh my goodness! Impressive article dude! Many thanks, However I am having difficulties with your RSS.
I don’t know why I can’t join it. Is there anyone else
getting identical RSS problems? Anyone who knows the answer can you kindly respond?
    Thanks!!
