VeganMoFo 2018 Blogrolls!

VeganMoFo 2018 Blogrolls!

Well VeganMoFo’ers, it’s almost time! We hope you’re as excited as we are, and getting all your final preparations done. It’s going to be a busy month full of delicious food – and new online friends! A huge part of VeganMoFo is the wonderful community, and the opportunity to fill your social media (and life!) with like-minded folk. Please make sure to follow your fellow participants on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/YouTube/their blogs, and look out for anyone posting under #veganmofo18. As always, we’ll be posting weekly round up posts here as well with some of our highlights.

Without further ado, here are the people you’re going to be posting alongside this September.

Here’s your Official 2018 Blogroll, where everyone who registered for VeganMoFo is listed by category (blog, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook). Get following!

Want to see if you have any neighbours participating this year? Check out the Where in the World? blogroll, organised by country (and state in the USA).

And don’t forget that not everybody is following the daily prompts or weekly themes. Some of you are flying solo with an exciting range of Individual Themes – which one sounds the most tempting to you?!

You can also find all Instagram posts right here on the blog as well – just make sure to use #veganmofo18, and you’ll appear on our Instagram Feed!

We have an OPML file of the RSS feeds from this year’s bloggers – find it here, and if you’d like to know how to use the file, check out this post!

Thank you very much to everyone who’s signed up for VeganMoFo 2018 – let’s make it the best one ever!

VeganMoFo 2018 OPML File

VeganMoFo 2018 OPML File

This year, we’re trying to give you as many options as possible to follow VeganMoFo. As well as the RSS page, and the instagram feed linked to in our Blogroll Page, we’ve also put together an OPML file for you to download.

What this means is that you can import this year’s blogs into a blog reader – such as Feedly, and follow our blogs on there! Below, you’ll find the file itself, and a small tutorial on how to import this file into Feedly. You will need to create an account on Feedly in order to use that site!

Download the VeganMoFo 2018 OPML File Here.

  1. First, download the above file, and save it somewhere you’ll be able to find it later. Change its name, or leave it as it is, it doesn’t matter, so long as you remember what it’s called.
  2. Next, open up your Feedly and log in.
  3. Click on your account picture in the top right corner to bring up a menu

4. Next, click on the option to “organize sources”.

5. Then, click the button that says “Import OPML”

6. You’ll be taken to a page where you can upload the file you downloaded earlier. Do this, and it will import all the web blogs that are participating in this year’s VeganMoFo!

If you have any problems with this file, do let us know – but we’re hoping it all works. Enjoy your VeganMoFo!

2018 Graphics

2018 Graphics

We loved last year’s graphics by Tansy Rees so much that we’ve given them a little 2018 update! These graphics are here for you to use on your blog or social media to show that you’re participating in VeganMoFo – so please share away!

July & August MiniMoFo Roundup!

July & August MiniMoFo Roundup!

VeganMoFo is just around the corner, but you guys certainly haven’t been slacking! In July and August we invited you to share some delicious desserts with us, and, as always, you’ve delivered. Feast your eyes on all of these treats – but don’t let them distract you too much from your MoFo prep!

@oohsarracuda

Have you ever had a dessert so good that it caused everyone to fall silent? Behold Sarra’s cinnamon and vanilla shortcake with sugared blackberries and whipped cream.

@notfunatparties

How good does this raw strawberry cheesecake look?! Jenny was celebrating a special occasion (happy anniversary!), so she turned to Isa for the perfect dessert recipe.

Crumbs & Caramel

Sticking with seasonal fruits, Bronwyn made this sensational upside down cherry almond cake. Check out the recipe on her blog if you fancy a slice!

@rawfullyrooted

And here’s another dessert for any raw vegans out there! This watermelon cake looks so refreshing!

@valerieminne

Valerie has shared loads of dreamy desserts in the past two months, and who could resist this colourful raspberry and blueberry mousse?

@vegfullife

Here at VeganMoFo HQ, we’re huge fans of Kristy’s food -and she has outdone herself with these amazing dessert tacos! These are lace cookies shaped like tacos and filled with cocowhip, fruit, and chocolate.

@onerawbite

This deconstructed blueberry pie looks insanely cute – not to mention delicious! And Jennifer has promised more desserts during September, so stay tuned…

@lisarturner

Lisa was served this mocha ice cream with nuts and chocolate on all-vegan cruise – it sounds like she’s truly living the dream!

@vegan.raptor

Everyone loves dessert – and that includes the Slayer! Here’s Buffy trying to decide between two tempting desserts. Which one would you choose?

@emflower.x

Emma managed to get her hands on vegan mille feuille! Presumably you’re all as jealous as I am…

@vegandollhouse

This MiniMoFo prompt was pretty much made for Robin, as her Instagram is full of cute, colourful desserts. These cupcakes are just one example of her amazing work.

Living the Dream

Jen had a bit of an adventure trying to make this Elvis cake to celebrate her colleague’s birthday…we think you’ll agree that it was worth all the trouble though!

Herbivores’ Heaven

Jenny shared the top five desserts she’s been served, including this incredible chocolatey concoction!

@ms.spaetzle

There’s been something of a heatwave in Europe this summer, and you know what that means – ice cream at every opportunity! It’s basic survival, people!

@activereflections

Dominique is teaching her daughter an important lesson: when life gives you imperfect cakes, turn them into a trifle!

@idunsyn

Angela offers up these ginger cookies two ways: as they are, or transformed into ice cream sandwiches. Which would you go for?

@ambereatsveg

Amber usually skips dessert, but we can see why she made an exception for these deep fried Oreos. Wow!

Pulsin Brownie Giveaway

Pulsin Brownie Giveaway

With less than a month to go until VeganMoFo 2018, we’re pleased to announce this year’s first giveaway!

We’re teaming up with Pulsin to give three lucky participants the opportunity to win a mixed box of six raw chocolate brownies. Based from Gloucestershire in the UK, you may have seen their bars in stores across the country – but never fear if not, you now have a chance to try them!

All their brownies are vegan, and also suitable for those following gluten free and soya free diets – and all very delicious! Coming in Salted Caramel, Super Berry, Almond & Raisin, Peanut Chocolate Chip, and Maca Bliss flavours you won’t get bored.

To be in with a chance of winning, you just need to do two things:

  1. Sign up for VeganMoFo 2018 by 24th August – If you haven’t already done so, the form is right here! If you’ve already signed up, then you’re already in with a chance!
  2. Make your first VeganMoFo 2018 post on your registered social media account of blog on Saturday 1st September – just make sure to use the account you signed up with, and you’ll be good to go!

And it’s that simple! There will be three winners, one from the UK, one from the Rest of the World, and one from anywhere. They will be picked randomly from the participants and will be announced on Monday 3rd September.

If you want a taste sooner, you can order from the vegan section of their online store!
