MoFo Midweek Giveaway: 4 Cookbooks!!!

And the winners have been chosen!

Asian Fusion: HeatherThis post made me smile because theres a beautifully drawn “X” over the cooking failure. Though I’m not sure how anything with chickpeas could be considered not delicious.

Speed Vegan: Meganhttp://ieattrees.com/vegan-deli-tempeh-pecan-salad/

Keri’s post from Vegan Deli made me happy. Big time ”

Local Bounty: Susannah

“Actually, this post is my favorite! As a new vegan, I’m still trying to get a feel for creative dinners. I’m tired of beans and every night! I love my vegetables but have always paired them with meat. I would be so excited to win these cookbooks and be able to cook for friends and family, to show them that vegan food is healthier and tastier than the meat they are eating! ”

Local Bounty: Bitt

“This mofo post from almost vegan made me happy this week:

  1. Actually the land lord fixed our pipes and finally I have fresh water again after a good 3 weeks. If it is vegan related all the great blogs I have been reading all week instead of cleaning my house and working 😉

  2. The VeganMoFo post that had me on the edge of my seat was posted by the amazing Christa behind Vancouver’s VeganMania! and the blog Dutchess of Kircaldy: http://duchessofkircaldy.wordpress.com/2010/11/03/making-up-for-lost-time-vegan-mofo-post-2-capellini-aglio-y-olio-fortified/
Her aglio y olio sauce had me on the edge of my chair. The final pic of her dinner had me drooling all over my keyboard – she can make a dish of pasta, cauliflower, peas, garlic, peas, and sausage a thing of daydreams. Plus, she has a fantastic tip on how to use ice water to cool down pasta and do away with rinsing it under cold water!

  3. Actually, this post is my favorite! 🙂

  4. Our recent wedding has gifted me with so many new kitchen appliances, cutlery and toys to play with, I’ve been spending more time in the kitchen than ever but have no new recipes to try! I think matching new cookbooks with my new stuff will make this winter the coziest one yet.

  5. THIS ONE! I just started following VeganMOFO today! I am somewhat of a vegan virgin so-to-speak and have been researching food and the lifestyle over the past year or so. I’m obsessed with finding recipes and buying cookbooks over the past few months so this post just gave me four new books to check out! Thanks for building my reading collection! It’s too big to keep on the kitchen counter now!

  6. I’ve got to say this one, from Dandelion: http://flyawayvegan.blogspot.com/2010/11/part-ii-recipe-curried-winter-squash.html. Rose is on a virtual road trip; every few days she picks a random destination and creates a dish or dishes from the local cuisine. This was a veganized version of a fancy Miami restaurant meal. Her pictures are gorgeous, and the menu–curried winter squash, pan seared hearts of palm, Brussels sprouts, smoky tofu, carrot pickle, what’s not to like?

  7. The update where my vanilla slice got mentioned made me the happiest! Other than that, River from Wing It Vegan’s post about Ricki’s Fudge Nut Clusters… she was totally right about the drooling. 🙂

  8. The post on “sweet vegan eats!” made my morning: http://grrl13.com/
I was feeling the same way about the weather this morning…excited for winter but not quite ready to give up fall…and she has motivated me to get around to trying those beautiful muffins! I think her picture was just delicious looking, as well. Want those muffins so much….

  9. I think the one that really made me happy this week was Kris over at Nomnomnom Blog who posted the classic Steven The Vegan video. It never fails to make me smile! 🙂

  10. I’d need to take a look at with you right here. Which can be not something I normally do! I get satisfaction in studying a article which will make people feel. In addition, many thanks for permitting me to comment!
